Choi leads Norman at 2008 Open Championship

Korea's KJ Choi takes the lead into the 3rd round of the 2008 Open Championship. Choi overcame a bogey on the 1st hole to score 67 for the 2nd round,  becoming the only player with a tournament score under par.

While Choi heads the leaderboard, all eyes will be on Greg Norman over the weekend. The 53 year old ended the day along in second place, 1 shot off Choi's score after finding par for the second day running.

The former champion proved that his position near the summit of the leaderboard was no fluke by rescuing himself from difficult situations over the last 3 holes .

Another golfer making an unexpected comeback at the 2008 Open Championship was 2001 winner David Duval, who finished the day 3 shots off the pace, tied for 4th. Duval hasn't won a single golf tournament since the year he won the Open, and had made 1 in 11 cuts going into the 2008 Open Championship.

Defending champion Padraig Harrington joined David Duval in 4th place by scoring an impressive 68 in the second round. Meanwhile Camilo Vegas scored 65, the lowest score of the week, to finish the day in 3rd place.
